New Year, Same Us. And That’s A Good Thing!

At Junior Achievement North, we Believe a Student's Education Should Ignite a Passion for the Future!

We're at an exciting part of the year at JA North. The calendar has turned over a new year and students are just getting back into the rhythms of school life. We're also halfway through our fiscal year with a laser focus on delivering impactful programming to students across Minnesota, North Dakota, and western Wisconsin.

With our eyes on a strong finish to the 2025 fiscal year, we're also looking back on just how amazing 2024 was! A year of continued growth and challenge, JA North served over 100,000 students with engaging learning opportunities from Kindergarten through High School.

Of the students we served in 2024, nearly 50% represent economically disadvantaged backgrounds, meaning they qualify for educational benefits such as free and reduced lunch. Part of our mission at JA North is to grow our service areas and offerings to increase access for students in schools with high populations of systemically excluded young people.

In 2024, we had nearly 900,000 contact hours with students in Minnesota, North Dakota, and western Wisconsin. This is due in large part to the thousands of educators, volunteers, and community leaders that gave their time and talents to inspire the next generation of leaders and help them prepare for a bright future.

Through immersive experiential learning backed by real-world insights from volunteers and educators, we focus on lifelong outcomes that give young people the confidence and knowledge they need to take the next steps in life outside the classroom.

Through 2024 and the first half of 2025, JA North is poised to continue honing our program offerings to better focus on empowering students for success with strategic impact initiatives like 3DE by Junior Achievement and JA Company Program while also exploring new programs that promise greater impact by exploring relevant issues that face today's young people.

As we look toward the future, Junior Achievement North is part of the solution we need to close the skills and opportunity gaps that our communities are facing. We hope you’ll join us in this important work to deepen impact, equitably expand programming, and cultivate rich and meaningful partnerships.

Together, we can invest in students' futures to ensure they are ready to lead choice-filled lives full of promise and opportunity. Read the full 2024 Mission Report at the link below and see just how powerful our community, staff, and students can be when we come together!
