Culminating the 3DE Case Experience
You've probably noticed we've been talking a lot about 3DE by Junior Achievement this year. Can you tell we're excited? We think you will be, too, as you continue to see how this innovative high school learning model brings professionals from high-demand industries into the classroom for project-based learning and case studies. In November, nearly 300 ninth-grade students from Washington Tech had their first off-site culminating event at Cargill headquarters in Wayzata.
Students spent the day exploring the campus, learning about the various careers and entry points from inspiring Cargill employees, and getting a taste of what it would be like to work for a global employer that touches multiple industries. A few top student groups were also able to present their case findings to judges from Cargill in the company auditorium, as they were tasked with helping Cargill decide the right nonprofit to help build the next generation into their technology talent pipeline.
It was a fantastic day celebrating student success, and this group drummed up some local press as the day was covered by local NBC affiliate, KARE 11. Follow the link below to see the story and get a feel for what this immersive experience was like for 3DE students.
